The Labour Court rejected the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim for a €30 attendance bonus for 41 workers employed by Rosderra Irish Meats. The recommendation was dated 15 December 2009. The union said the bonus should continue until workers returned to their original work location after a fire at the Edenderry plant led to temporary work in Roscrea. Rosderra Irish Meats said the payment ended when the workers returned to Edenderry. The Court found the negotiated wording ambiguous but said the claim had no validity and recommended no payment.
