The Workplace Relations Commission has directed Boname Fast Food to pay former chef Erkan Cagin €2,300 after upholding his complaint that wages remained unpaid when his employment ended. The decision was dated 24 February 2026. Cagin told the WRC he worked for the restaurant from 14 April to 14 June 2025 and was paid sporadically in cash, despite an agreed rate of €14 an hour. The adjudicator accepted his evidence that he was owed €2,300 and had not received payslips despite requesting them. Boname Fast Food did not attend the hearing; the adjudicator found it had notice and gave no explanation for the unpaid wages.
