The Workplace Relations Commission has ordered Unity Healthcare Service Ltd to pay Tatenda Ncube €30,420 compensation after finding he was not paid wages due from 20 June to 19 December 2024. The decision was dated 13 February 2026.
Ncube said he had been promised €585 a week in a healthcare assistant role, but the work did not begin and he received only €300. The company made no written or oral submissions. The adjudication officer found Ncube remained employed and was not laid off during the period covered by the complaint.
