The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Juraj Adamec €9,107 for financial loss after finding he was constructively dismissed by Con Kelleher T/ A Ck Landscaping & Garden Maintenance. It also awarded €2,602 for the continuing failure to provide written employment terms. The decision was dated 15 January 2026.
Adamec said a colleague assaulted him at work and that his employer assaulted and verbally abused him when he raised the incident. The employer did not appear at the hearing or submit a defence. The adjudication officer accepted Adamec’s uncontroverted evidence, found the events made the employment unviable and concluded he acted reasonably in leaving.
The WRC found Adamec had not received the required written terms. The €9,107 award represents 14 weeks’ remuneration for actual and prospective financial loss.
