WRC disallows Juliette Hallinan’s appeal for a redundancy payment

The Workplace Relations Commission disallowed Juliette Hallinan’s appeal for a redundancy payment in a decision dated 21 April 2023. Hallinan sought a redundancy payment after her office duties at O'Connor's Kenyon St Market, Ltd changed as work was outsourced. She said she had been told redundancy would be forthcoming, while the respondent maintained her job remained available. The adjudicator found there had been no dismissal: Hallinan chose to leave and seek other work. Her appeal was disallowed.
