The Labour Court recommended that Teagasc pay four workers one and a half years’ compensation for lost weekend overtime earnings, excluding time off in lieu, after their transfer from Ballinamore to Ballyhaise. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union represented the workers. The Court found regular rostered weekend overtime had been an essential part of their conditions at Ballinamore for more than 25 years, but was not essential at Ballyhaise. The recommendation was signed on 17 April 2008.
