The Workplace Relations Commission has ordered Cork Education and Training Board to pay Stephanie O'Donovan €2,000 after finding it failed to notify her that her Youthreach hours had increased to 18. The decision was dated 24 March 2025. O'Donovan said she had to contact the board to have the extra hour formally recognised, although she was paid for it. The board disputed the complaints and said it had complied with the relevant laws. The WRC rejected her complaints that she was underpaid for tutor work and paid less than a comparable permanent tutor. It treated her request for a contract of indefinite duration as withdrawn.
