WRC dismisses unfair-dismissal complaint against North Munster Citizens Information Service CLG

The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Eleanor Maher’s unfair-dismissal complaint against North Munster Citizens Information Service CLG as misconceived. The decision was dated 20 January 2025. Maher said she was told not to return to the Thurles Citizens Information office after a client-data allegation. The respondent said she was not its employee and had been placed there through a CE scheme. The adjudication officer found that Tipperary Centre for Independent Living was Maher’s employer under the placement arrangement, so the named respondent was not her employer on 27 May 2024. The merits of the unfair-dismissal complaint were not decided.
