The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Frank Zimmermann €5,000 after finding that landlord Patricia Geraghty discriminated against him when his rental application was rejected after he disclosed receiving housing assistance.
Adjudication Officer Penelope McGrath said Zimmermann’s candidacy was ruled out because of disability, housing assistance or both. The WRC upheld his Equal Status Act complaint. Its decision was dated 14 November 2024.
