The Workplace Relations Commission found that a former retail employee had not been discriminated against in a decision dated 24 September 2026. She alleged discrimination and victimisation after raising concerns about racism and treatment at work. The retailer denied wrongdoing, saying its management responses were legitimate and that her fixed-term contract ended as scheduled. The adjudicator found she was not dismissed or disciplined, had no loss of earnings and that her contract ended on its scheduled date. He also found the customer incident did not show the retailer condoned racism, and that she had requested a reduction in her hours. Her complaint was not well founded.
