The Workplace Relations Commission found Katarzyna Kowalczyk’s discrimination and victimisation complaint against Medtronic Vascular Galway Unlimited Company was not well founded. Adjudication Officer Peter O’Brien dated the decision 12 May 2026. No award was made.
Kowalczyk alleged unequal access to overtime and training, among other workplace issues. The company said overtime followed shift and operational needs and that staffing constraints delayed training. The officer found no prima facie case of discrimination on race, gender or part-time status grounds, and said Kowalczyk had not met the burden of proof for victimisation.
