The Workplace Relations Commission found Donald Moran’s disability discrimination complaint against Four Seasons Hotel Carlingford not well founded. The decision, dated 14 September 2023, concerned an incident during a hotel stay in September 2022.
Moran said he had difficulty getting into the pool and had to steady himself against the wall. The hotel said staff were unaware of the incident until they received the WRC complaint. The adjudicator found Moran had not established facts from which discrimination could be inferred, noting that he had not told hotel staff he might need assistance or reported the incident at the time.
