The Labour Court dismissed Lyu Lu’s appeal against Dawn Meats Ireland Unlimited over her allegation that she had to pay Kildare Chilling Company a €26,000 recruitment fee when she started work in 2020. The decision was signed on 13 July 2026. Lu sought an extension, saying her solicitor advised her to wait until internal processes ended. The Court found the complaint was substantially identical to an earlier Payment of Wages complaint it had found out of time, and that an internal process did not provide reasonable cause to extend the deadline. It found the complaint not well-founded; the appeal failed.
