Labour Court dismisses Lu’s appeal over written notice of work move

The Labour Court dismissed Lyu Lu’s appeal against Dawn Meats Ireland Unlimited over her claim that she was not notified in writing when moved to another area of the plant in March 2023. The decision was signed on 13 July 2026. Dawn Meats said her contract allowed moves to any area of the factory and argued the complaint was late. Lu said she had been advised to wait for internal processes to conclude. The Court found that an internal process did not provide reasonable cause to extend the deadline and found the complaint not well-founded.
