The Labour Court recommended that Regional Maternity Hospital keep a clerical officer informed about suitable full-time vacancies within the hospital structure and the wider HSE. The worker, represented by the Irish Municipal, Public and Civil Trade Union, had sought a return to full-time work after job-sharing and compensation for lost earnings. The Court said management had complied with the job-sharing scheme and recommended accepting its assurances on vacancies. It did not recommend compensation, saying the worker could have taken a full-time post while waiting for a suitable position. The recommendation was signed on 27 November 2006.
