The Labour Court rejected a union claim for improved severance terms for five Norwich Union workers. Its recommendation was dated 18 April 1994. Manufacturing Science Finance argued the workers faced forced redundancies and should receive enhanced terms. Norwich Union said the existing package covered all redundancy situations and that about 40 workers had already accepted those terms. Taking account of the circumstances and the redundancy and relocation scheme, the Court found no grounds to concede the claim and recommended against it.
