In 1992, the Labour Court recommended that Dubarry Shoes Limited postpone its proposed lower pay structure for new employees for two years, then review it with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union if it was still considered necessary. The recommendation was signed on 24 November 1992. The Court also recommended that the union accept an addendum to Clause 5 of the straight-line agreement proposed during conciliation. The two issues remained unresolved after agreement on six other matters referred to the Labour Relations Commission.
