In 1992, the Labour Court recommended that seasonal and part-time guides with at least two seasons of satisfactory service receive priority in selection for the next season. It also recommended annual increments on the Clerical Officer scale after two satisfactory seasons, up to the maximum for full-time guides. The recommendation was signed on 24 November 1992. The dispute between the Office Of Public Works and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union covered continuity of service, pay and weekend premia. The Court recommended that recruitment pay remain unchanged and did not recommend conceding the union’s weekend-premia claim.
