The Labour Court recommended that WM. Todd & Co Ltd (Limerick), acting for Allibert, offer an unnamed worker an additional sum equivalent to 12 weeks’ pay and the first suitable vacancy that arose. The recommendation was signed on 8 April 1992. The worker said she had moved from Todd’s to work at the Allibert concession outlet and sought a suitable job when it closed. The company said she had been employed by Allibert on a trial basis and that her work at Todd’s had been temporary relief. It had offered her a temporary Christmas position.
