In 1991, the Labour Court recommended that Tillitson Limited increase redundancy compensation to three weeks' pay per year of service, inclusive of statutory entitlement. Its recommendation was signed on 19 February 1991. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had also sought compensation for shift transfers and loss of grade. The Court considered the company's offers on those two issues reasonable and recommended that they be accepted.
