Labour Court finds no grounds for lost-pay reimbursement for 36 RTE journalists

In 1991, the Labour Court found no grounds to recommend reimbursement for 36 Radio Telefis Eireann journalists who lost earnings during industrial action over a new Radio na Gaeltachta schedule. It said the union should have worked under protest and used the agreed procedures. Separately, it said pay should not have been deducted from Michael De Mordha for the general action, and recommended reimbursement for Diarmuid O'Suilleabhain and Timlin O'Cearnaigh. The Court made its recommendation on 24 January 1991. The parties were Radio Telefis Eireann and National Union Of Journalists.
