The Labour Court did not recommend conceding the Irish Transport And General Workers' Union’s claim for a meal allowance for Aer Rianta Airport Police Fire Service workers who worked overtime at short notice. About 100 workers were involved. The Court said an extension of conditions informally arranged outside the national agreement for Aer Lingus could not be sustained. Its recommendation was signed on 25 November 1988.
