Labour Court recommends higher service pay for Town Hall Cinema projectionist

The Labour Court recommended higher service pay for a projectionist at Town Hall Cinema, Galway, but did not recommend the claim for two Sundays off in four. Its recommendation was signed on 16 January 1987. The Court recommended service pay of 75p per week from 1 January 1986, rising to £1 per week after 20 years’ service. The union had sought £2 per week and a return to two Sundays off in four; Town Hall Cinema said the existing service-pay rates and Sunday arrangements were in line with industry practice.
