The Workplace Relations Commission directed Firestone Pizza Limited to pay former chef Sukru Hinc €813.65 net for five public holidays. In a decision dated 29 June 2026, the WRC partly upheld his Payment of Wages Act complaint. Hinc also claimed pay for extra hours, a further annual-leave balance and notice. The adjudicator found no agreement for extra-hours pay, that Hinc had received the 10 days’ holiday entitlement, and that he was not entitled to notice after being dismissed for gross misconduct. The company said it had paid all wages due.
