The Workplace Relations Commission upheld four complaints by bartender Aoibheann McCaffrey against Twoak Limited trading as The Dunes, making separate awards of €768, €300, €256 and €300. In a decision dated 28 January 2026, the WRC found the company failed to give McCaffrey written employment terms, ensure statutory breaks and provide adequate notice of shift changes. It also found she was dismissed without notice after the company told her it could not continue her hours in the new year. The company said it had prepared a statement of terms and argued she resigned, but conceded the working-time complaints. McCaffrey worked as a bartender from May 2024 to January 2025, earning €12.80 an hour for an average 20-hour week.
