WRC awards redundancy and notice pay after Browne’s Steakhouse closure

The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Sandra Madalina Alman statutory redundancy pay and €2,692 for four weeks’ notice after finding that San Siro Limited, trading as Browne’s Steakhouse, had ceased operating in Blanchardstown. Adjudication officer Catherine Byrne dated the decision 18 November 2024. Alman said the closure ended her employment and claimed redundancy pay. The respondent did not attend, so the officer assessed her evidence alone. The redundancy payment is subject to her PRSI contribution status and a €600 weekly ceiling; the decision gives no separate euro amount for it.
