Blanchardstown, Co. Dublin

Gardaí in Blanchardstown are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on Wednesday, 26th August 2026. The incident took place shortly before 12:30am in Ballycoolin, Dublin 15, between the Snugborough road and Cappagh Road roundabouts. A woman in her 20s was the sole occupant of the car and was pronounced deceased. The scene is preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and the road remains closed with local traffic diversions in place. The Coroner has been notified, and a post-mortem examination will be arranged. Gardaí are seeking witnesses and anyone with camera footage, including dashcam footage, from the area at the time. Anyone with information is asked to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line.
