Bus Eireann ordered to pay €1,500 over Acting Supervisor terms

The Workplace Relations Commission has ordered Bus Eireann to pay Michal Badowicz €1,500 compensation and provide written terms for his Acting Supervisor duties within 30 days. The decision was dated 18 March 2025. Badowicz said he had not received written notice of changed employment terms relating to Acting Supervisor work. Bus Eireann said his substantive role remained Bus Driver and that the Acting Supervisor conditions had been explained through recruitment materials, correspondence and agreements. The adjudication officer found no change to Badowicz’s original Bus Driver contract requiring notice, but found that he should have received a written statement of terms for the additional duties. The complaint was upheld.
