The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Paul Flattery’s three complaints against the Board of Management of Mercy College Woodford: penalisation under employment terms legislation, penalisation linked to an alleged protected disclosure, and constructive dismissal. Adjudication Officer Úna Glazier-Farmer’s decision was dated 13 March 2025. Flattery alleged workplace grievances and contact with the school patron’s chief executive were followed by disciplinary action and reduced teaching opportunities. The school denied the complaints. The officer found no qualifying protected disclosure or penalisation within the relevant period, and found Flattery had not given the school a reasonable chance to address his grievance before leaving.
