The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Karen Atkinson, trading as W Beauty, to pay Kelsey Duggan €750 for failing to provide written terms within five days of her start, and €200 over missing records of 15-minute breaks. Adjudication Officer John Harraghy’s decision was dated 13 March 2025. Atkinson acknowledged the delay in providing terms. The WRC also directed the salon to provide staff with breaks. It rejected Duggan’s complaints about 30-minute breaks and discrimination, found it lacked jurisdiction over her unfair dismissal complaint, and dismissed a railway-sector working conditions complaint as misconceived.
