The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Tony Duffy’s complaint that the Road Safety Authority discriminated against him by calculating mileage reimbursement from his designated base rather than his home. In a decision dated 30 September 2025, adjudication officer Peter O'Brien found that location was not a discriminatory ground under the Employment Equality Acts and that Duffy had not established discrimination. No compensation was awarded. The authority said it applied the travel circular consistently to staff in Duffy’s category.
