The Workplace Relations Commission upheld Gregg O Sullivan’s claim for a statutory redundancy lump sum and ordered Larmona Ltd to pay it, subject to insurable employment. Adjudication Officer Patsy Doyle’s decision was dated 25 November 2024. O Sullivan said he was placed on temporary layoff after the business closed and received no written offer of alternative work. Larmona accepted that he qualified for redundancy but disputed his service history and said it could not pay. The WRC found his employment began on 1 August 2009 and ended on 29 July 2024. The decision did not state the lump sum amount.
