WRC finds no jurisdiction over two unfair dismissal complaints against OCS

The Workplace Relations Commission had no jurisdiction to hear two unfair dismissal complaints by Victor Ogiem Udia against Ocs One Complete Solution Ltd because they were filed outside the statutory time limit. The decision by adjudication officer John Harraghy was dated 25 November 2024. Udia said he was dismissed after being placed on layoff in February 2023. The company said he was on temporary layoff and no dismissal had occurred. The officer found that Udia had not shown reasonable cause to extend the filing deadline, so the complaints' merits were not decided.
