Wine bar had no payslip jurisdiction under terms law

The Workplace Relations Commission found it had no jurisdiction to hear Anthony Robineau’s complaint that Power Glade Ely Wine Bar failed to provide payslips. The decision was dated 19 January 2024. Robineau said he received payslips for only January, February and September 2020. The respondent accepted that an input error had recorded annual tax credits as monthly amounts during the pandemic and undertook to help him resolve the Revenue issue. The officer said a failure to issue wage slips may breach the Payment of Wages Act, but the complaint was brought under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act 1994.
