The Workplace Relations Commission found Ivan Gaffney's complaints against Bidvest Noonans were not well-founded in a decision dated 18 July 2024. He said he did not receive written terms after his employment transferred to the company. The adjudicator found he had signed a transfer consultation form confirming his terms remained unchanged, so a new contract was not required. Gaffney also said reduced hours, night shifts and another worker covering a shift led him to leave. The adjudicator found he had not meaningfully used the grievance process and did not find the company's conduct unreasonable. The WRC found he was not unfairly dismissed.
