Labour Court dismisses Krzysztof Knapik’s unfair dismissal appeal

The Labour Court dismissed Krzysztof Knapik’s unfair dismissal appeal and upheld the adjudicator’s decision. The Court found he had named the wrong respondent; the decision was dated 17 July 2024. Knapik had worked for Parc Aviation Limited as an agency worker before becoming a direct employee of a third-party company. The Court said the law provided that unfair dismissal redress for an agency worker should be awarded against the third party. Knapik accepted that Parc Aviation was an employment agency and that he had been its agency worker.
