WRC awards Mary Hebron €900 over missing employment terms

The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Mary Hebron €900 after finding her employer had breached the law by failing to provide a written statement of her employment terms. The decision was dated 23 August 2023. Hebron told the WRC she had not received a statement of terms. Bouncy Times Ltd said it had issued her a contract to complete and return, as preparing contracts was among her administrative duties. The adjudication officer said the employer remained responsible for giving her the terms. The award was equivalent to three weeks’ remuneration. Hebron had worked for the company from May 2019 until November 2022.
