WRC rejects Keith Kerley’s unfair dismissal claim against Arralis Ltd

The Workplace Relations Commission found that Keith Kerley was not unfairly dismissed by Arralis Ltd, in a decision dated 24 February 2023. Kerley said a change to his reporting line and a smaller share offer prompted him to resign. Arralis said his role, pay and benefits had not changed and that the share scheme was discretionary. The WRC found the company acted reasonably while trying to preserve jobs and salaries at its Limerick division. It also noted Kerley did not use the grievance process or accept an offered external review before his resignation took effect. The complaint was not well founded.
