The Labour Court upheld a ruling that Victor Ogiem Udia’s unfair-dismissal complaint against One Complete Solution (OCS) Ireland Ltd was out of time. The decision was signed on 23 February 2026. Udia said a temporary lay-off was a cover for dismissal; the company denied that he had been dismissed. Udia referred his complaint to the WRC on 26 February 2024 and sought an extension, saying he only later understood the lay-off as a dismissal. The Labour Court found he had not explained why that belief crystallised months after the lay-off ended and concluded he had not established reasonable cause for the delay.
