The Labour Court increased an award to Brian Healy to €1,100 after finding his employer had breached rules on written terms of employment. The decision, dated 24 July 2024, varied an earlier €1,010 award. Healy said the contract and handbook supplied in March 2020 omitted information required by law. Pilvine Ltd Trading As Positive Signs said it had provided both documents, though Healy did not sign the contract. The Court said an employee did not have to sign the terms to have received them. It found the documents lacked required information and awarded compensation equal to two weeks’ salary.
