The Labour Court dismissed Lucas Augusto De Lorenzo’s appeal over a written statement of employment terms and upheld the adjudication officer’s decision, in a ruling dated 24 November 2023. De Lorenzo said Dolphin Brothers Renewable Energies Limited did not give him a written statement during his employment as an engineer. The company said a director gave him two contract copies in his first two weeks and asked him to return one signed; it said he did not do so. The Court found it more likely than not that the company had met its statutory duties.
