The Labour Court determined that Mr Philip Goring’s minimum notice appeal was resolved after Becton Dickinson Penel Limited accepted he was entitled to a further six weeks’ pay in lieu of notice. The determination was dated 22 January 2021. The company told the Court Goring had already received two weeks’ pay in lieu of notice and undertook to pay the outstanding amount without delay. Goring accepted that commitment. He had appealed an Adjudication Officer’s decision that his complaint under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Act 1973–2005 was out of time and statute-barred.
