The Labour Court recommended that Unite the Union accept Aurivo Co-Operative Society Limited’s offer to workers at its Killygordon site. The recommendation was signed on 8 July 2024. The offer would consolidate a €50 weekly allowance into basic pay, apply a 3.25% increase from 1 January 2024 and provide a €200 tax-free Homeland voucher at the end of 2024, pro rata. Unite had sought larger increases for some grades and a separate service allowance. The Court noted that employees at the other sites had already received the company’s proposed 2024 terms, and said different terms for Killygordon could affect that agreement. It considered the offer the most reasonable outcome that could pragmatically be achieved at the time.
