The Labour Court recommended a four-year pay and conditions agreement for Aer Lingus and about 800 pilots represented by Forsa (IALPA Branch), including staged pay increases totalling 17.75% from 1 January 2023 to 1 July 2026. The recommendation was signed on 8 July 2024.

The Court also recommended ending the agreed 2022 pay scales when the recommendation is accepted and returning to a single scale. It proposed ending contested rostering and summer-leave arrangements at the end of 2024, absorbing the pilots’ accrued debt, and increasing overnight allowances by 10% on acceptance and a further 5% from 1 October 2025.

Industrial action that began in June 2024 had seriously affected the travelling public, the airline and pilots’ working lives, the Court said. It cited the parties’ long bargaining history and unresolved disagreements as it set out terms intended to resolve the dispute.
