The Labour Court recommended that Kirchhoff Ireland Ltd’s proposals for an online data collection system form the mechanism for resolving a dispute over the final 2.5% Sustaining Progress increase. Its recommendation was dated 2 November 2006. Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the system was raised after the increase was due and would add work. The company said it would improve planning and efficiency. The Court considered the system normal ongoing change, and recommended specifying the Lead Operator pay rate, prompt implementation and payment of any outstanding monies due under the proposals.
