The Labour Court recommended that St Vincent De Paul Night Shelter Cork’s pay offer form the basis of an agreement with the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union over pay for two night security employees. It also recommended further talks on the proposed rosters. The recommendation was signed on 18 April 2000. The Court accepted that the Society had made a serious effort to address the pay claim, but said the proposed working arrangements were unacceptable to the union.
