The Labour Court recommended that Mid Western Health Board pay three resident hostel supervisors a total of £25,000 in full and final settlement of their claim for arrears. The recommendation was dated 27 June 1997; the workers were to agree how to divide the payment based on their work patterns.
The workers, attached to Limerick Mental Health Services, said their rosters included unpaid hours. The Board acknowledged underpayment but disputed the figures. The Court said it could not decide the merits because of the time span and differences in the parties’ information about duties and shifts.
