In 1996, the Labour Court found a worker had been unfairly dismissed by Precast Products and recommended £1,000 compensation and a suitable reference. The recommendation was signed on 23 December. The Technical, Engineering And Electrical Union said the worker was dismissed without a fair hearing or warning. Precast Products did not attend the hearing. The Court cited the company's failure to follow normal industrial relations practices.
