In 1994, the Labour Court recommended that members of the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept Navan Carpets Limited's first-phase PCW offer, while deferring a decision on PESP arrears sought for 180 production workers. The company said financial constraints prevented it paying the arrears, and offered a 2% PCW increase subject to conditions. The Court recommended reviewing the arrears issue after 12 months.
