The Labour Court recommended that the South Eastern Health Board date a worker’s incremental position from 1 January 1987 and pay arrears. The recommendation was dated 28 August 1991. The Amalgamated Transport And General Workers Union had sought recognition of the worker as a full-time permanent employee from 6 March 1980. The Board disputed her employment status at that time. Citing a confused background and missing records, the Court recommended that the union accept the incremental position the Board had offered, backdated to 1 January 1987.
